COWABUNGA.

This morning, I looked outside my office window to see a calf in the bed of a pick up truck. I walk right passed it as I entered the building too. Apparently our neighbors used the baby cow for a video shoot. Its not too often to spot one of these on a busy Los Angeles boulevard. Then again... in this city anything is possible.

MY MOM'S DAY.

Last Saturday was my mom's birthday and I did all the things she would do for everyone else's birthday for HER. Made her a big sign, made everyone wear stickers in her honor, got her a gift she really wanted, and pulled off a surprise dinner. I love you Mom!

GRANDMA GONE VIRAL.

Mothers Day was a busy time for me and my family. But nonetheless we still had a chance to celebrate. The "Moms" run the show in my family, so they deserve all the praise, more than one day of the year would allow. My grandma, however, who is quite young at heart received more than praise that Sunday, and got suckered into a joke.

CHARACTER.

What is it about flea markets that I am so drawn to? When we went to Paris last year, I wanted to go to every market. I bought a book that was dedicated to Paris markets alone! We went to the PCC Flea Market last weekend. Its tamer than the Rose Bowl Flea Market but still great finds! I can't wait to go back! Can't wait to go back to Paris either.



I am drawn to old labels and packaging. That attraction suits my design side. Art was more ornate in the early-mid 20th century. There is just more character compared to modern packaging/ branding which is a lot plainer and "simpler".

CHELSEA ONE

Yesterday was Chelsea's birthday. I'm pretty sure she got bigger just over the weekend. I remember when my dad brought her home. She was a scared-little puppy. Now shes chubby and fearless. She has so much personality. We got her toys for her birthday and gave her lots of attention. She loved it all. Happy Birthday Chelsea Bear!

SF ≠ SUPER FAST.

Last week I took a quick trip to the bay area with my mom and sister. We got pulled over for speeding on the 5. I think that's pretty ridiculous as everyone is speeding there, but at least it wasn't me in the driver's seat. Sorry Mom!

CELEBRATE.

So March is over. On to April. I celebrated my birthday last weekend. Though I feel like the celebration is continuing on to this week, maybe I'll celebrate all year. I mean why not?

SPECIAL DELIVERY.

My aunt told me she was going to send me something. I didn't think it would come in this big box, and to add to the surprise I totally forgot it was arriving. When I saw it, I got really excited. It is one the of coolest presents I have ever received. And I love ice cream, especially dippin dots.

THIS IS TRUE.

I do find beauty in ordinary things. And that is always why I try to carry a camera with me at all times. My life is beautiful.

TASTY TIPSY

The other night my family celebrated Patryze's 21st birthday at Taste on Melrose. Overall awesome time. I thought the service was really nice for a fairly large and loud group (with kids). I love family dinners, celebrations, get-togethers. They are my fave.
